Juglans mandshurica is a species of deciduous broadleaf flowering plants (in the Juglandaceae or Walnut family), native to China, Korea and the far east of Russia. It has leaves in two rows of at least seven on either side of a midrib, like a feather, with one at the end (in botanical terminology, they are leaflets comprising a large compound leaf). In spring it bears long dangling yellow–green male catkins and upright clusters of small red female flowers, from which nuts develop, within an ovoid green husk. The nuts themselves have thick, hard, deeply ridged shells.
Juglans mandshurica is valued for its attractive appearance, nuts and timber, and has been cultivated for centuries in its native range. It commonly grows in forests and along river valleys, and is well-adapted to cold climates (down to –30degC).

Choose alternative versions of the map. The tree markers, popups, map centre and zoom are all unaffected by switching.
Turn on a flashing dot which tracks your live location on the map, surrounded
by a circle indicating the accuracy of the location. This will work
only if your device has a satellite navigation (GPS etc.) receiver which is
enabled and can acquire a signal. You will probably be asked to allow the
website to access "location services" the first time you press this button.
The button flashes orange while trying to locate you,

Recentre the map on your present location, while live location is switched on.
Reset the map to its original centre and zoom.
